Held the first weekend in December, Holiday Weekend is the Church Hill Association’s longest-running celebration. To kick off the holiday season, dozens of lampposts throughout the neighborhood are decorated with festive red ribbons. 

Candlelight Walk

On Friday evening, neighbors gather for the Candlelight Walk led by the Greater Richmond Pipes & Drums. Participants walk from Jefferson Park to Libby Hill Park carrying candles (provided by CHA or brought from home). The evening ends with food trucks, warm drinks, and a visit from Santa.

Holiday House Tour

(started in 1966)

The Holiday House Tour is CHA’s oldest tradition and largest fundraiser. On Sunday afternoon, historic homes, shops, and institutions open their doors to hundreds of visitors. Transportation is provided, though many guests choose to stroll through the neighborhood.
