Each August, instead of a regular membership meeting, CHA hosts a Back-to-School Picnic for neighbors. The potluck-style gathering is typically held at a neighbor’s home and celebrates the start of the school year. Educators from across Richmond’s East End are invited, and the event is often paired with a school supply drive to support local students and schools.
