Edward D. Christian Memorial

Edward D. Christian, 32, of Charles City, VA, died September 14, 2023. He was an employee of the Richmond Department of Public Works and was working to remove the trees that had fallen in a previous storm at Libby Hill Park. In doing so, a large trunk rolled onto him and ended his life. He is survived by his mother, Jean F. Christian; his brother, Eric G. Christian; his grandparents, William A. and Jean J. Christian; and his aunt, Sharon C. Kent (Christopher).

In 2024, the Church Hill Association coordinated a fundraising effort for a memorial in the park.
